Being Canadian, we’ve always been big fans of American independent films and projects. In 2022, a large group of us started watching this guy, lil Ron from YouTube. It’s incredible how he managed to produce high-quality, original short films and shows. Da Idle Mindz is a well-crafted short film that keeps you engaged from beginning to end. We genuinely appreciate what you guys are doing and will continue to support your work, including Whylie Films, Da Partition and Frost Visions.

You don't need to be a hip-hop fan to enjoy this short film. Da Idle Mindz is an absolute all-round good short film. The cast, the plot, the music all come together for an absolute stunner of a film. This film offers a realistic portrayal of a DJ who is trying to have a better life for himself and his aunt. This short film is brilliant; it's a genuine drama that shows just how hard it must be to actually break through even if you have the talent as a DJ. I met the main actor, lil Ron, a few years ago at an Apple event. This guy is going to be the next independent short film mogul.

Da Idle Mindz is an exceptional short film that showcases lil Ron’s remarkable acting skills. He delivers a performance that surpasses his usual acting credits, demonstrating a remarkable range of emotions. The film exudes a dark yet thought-provoking atmosphere, and I particularly admire his close bond with his auntie. Overall, this short film is truly commendable, and it has inspired me to embark on my own short film writing journey. I am so ready for part two!

After watching the trailer for Da Idle Mindz, I was thrilled about the film’s hip-hop theme and potential to be a truly remarkable short film. So, my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try, entering our private home theater with a mix of excitement and apprehension. However, from the very first scene, I knew this short film was going to be fantastic. The opening five minutes were captivating, and I found myself eagerly wanting more. The visuals, transitions, and audio were all on point, creating an immersive experience that left no room for doubt. This incredible story had me hooked, and I wished it could have lasted longer. Ultimately, the short film concluded, and I was thoroughly satisfied with everything. Whylie Films, you have just earned a new supporter. I hope y’all plan to do a part two real soon. A friend of mine from Texas Southern University (TSU) was raving about a film called “Da Idle Mindz,” and the lead actor’s name is lil Ron. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I had low expectations, thinking it would be just another hip-hop short film. However, it exceeded my expectations. If you’re comparing it to average short films, it’s not because it’s a movie. If you’re disappointed with short films and independent filmmakers, then stick to Hollywood movies. From beginning to end, the story was entertaining and kept me engaged. If you’re looking for something different, I highly recommend it, and I can’t wait to see the sequel.
