Y R Martin, or "Miss Yolonda," as she is so commonly known, is a native Oklahoman who landed on the stages of Houston beginning in 2008. As a local stage and film actress she is enjoying marked success, and growing opportunities to network with some of Houston's finest playwrights and talent. Having written, directed and produced four of her own stage plays, Miss Yolonda is also a community liaison, advocate for the disabled, novice photographer and decorator who has shared these attributes with various organizations. Standing only five feet tall, Miss Yolonda possesses the confidence of a giant. In her spare time, Miss Yolonda loves to travel and spend time with her granddaughter.
